GGP reads and writes several files. All of them are ASCII files, with one exception: bitmap files.
You can easily inspect and modify ASCII files with most of the usual text editors. When you modify the data of an ASCII file that has been generated by GGP, you should not change the file structure when you want to read the modified file in a GGP session. The structure of the GGP ASCII files is not described here. Maybe, you can guess it, when you save a file and inspect it with a text editor. Note that all GGP ASCII files have a header that defines the file structure.
Bitmap files generated by GGP contain the bitmap of the CH graphics window. You can watch and modify these files with most of the well-known graphics programs such as PaintBrush, PaintShop, etc.
